Competitive formats

Plain-language summaries of the Play! Pokémon formats used at Circle City Gaming events. Each page cites the official Pokemon.com article it summarizes. If you're settling a rules question, the official article is the source of truth — these pages exist as a local reference in case the official link is ever unreachable.

• VGC — Regulation Set I

  Pokémon Scarlet & Violet VGC ruleset. Open team list; up to two Restricted Special Pokémon per team. Active April 30 – August 31, 2025 and April 1 – May 31, 2026.

• TCG Standard — 2026 Rotation (Reg H+)

  In-person Pokémon TCG Standard format starting April 10, 2026. Cards with regulation marks H, I, and J are legal.

• GO — Pokémon Championship Series

  Standard Pokémon GO format used at CCG League Cups and Challenges: Great League (1,500 CP), 3–6 Pokémon teams, plus the official Championship Series banned list.
