The current Pokémon TCG Standard rotation announced in the 2026 Pokémon TCG Standard Format Rotation Announcement. Cards with the regulation marks listed below are legal for in-person Play! Pokémon events.

How regulation marks work

Card legality is determined by the regulation mark printed on the bottom of the card — not by the expansion the card was released in. A card from a brand-new expansion is only legal if its mark is on the legal list above.

Reprints without a regulation mark are still legal as long as the same card has been reprinted with a currently-legal mark. For example: a Rare Candy from the Sun & Moon era remains legal if a Rare Candy with an "I" mark exists in current Standard.

How this list evolves

Each new main TCG expansion typically introduces a new regulation mark — those marks become legal for Standard play on the set's official release date and stay legal until the next rotation. Subsets, special expansions, and promo releases can also introduce new marks off the main-set cadence.

We update this page when a new mark becomes legal. The canonical source for the current list of legal regulation marks is the Play! Pokémon Rules and Resources page.

Deck building

Decks must comply with the current Play! Pokémon Tournament Rules Handbook plus the Standard format legality list. Check every card in your deck against the regulation-mark rule before you arrive.
